The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has released the Retailers' Reference Guide, a comprehensive reference book designed by CIBJO members and the AGTA to assist sales associates in answering clients' gemstone, precious metal and jewelry questions, thereby instilling confidence and helping to close the sale.


The spiral-bound book covers colored gemstones, diamonds, pearls and precious metals and features sections divided by easy-to-read tabs for quick navigation. "Key Facts" pages discuss the most important quality factors for each category, and the guide also focuses on specific gemstones, taking an in-depth look at the characters, lore, origin, treatments and care for each.
