Reminder - JVC Members Receive Five Free Precious Metals Tests per Year

JVC members receive FIVE FREE non-destructive x-ray tests for precious metal content per year. (Postage and handling is not included.) Jewelry is tested to provide quality assurance and monitoring compliance with the National Gold and Silver Stamping Act and the FTC Guides for the jewelry industry. 

The results are 95-98% accurate compared to fire assay testing. There is no destruction to the pieces.

Additional screenings for JVC members cost $20.00 each plus postage and handling.   High volume users (over 25 pieces per year) can sign a JVC service agreement and receive a substantial discount.  

Tests determine if samples meet government standards for 10k, 14k, 18k 22k and 24k. Platinum and silver testing is also done.  A test report will be emailed immediately following the testing.  The report will reflect the parts per thousand precious metals in each of the samples.  The entire metal in the sample is tested simultaneously and a breakdown of the other elements will be disclosed as well. i.e. Cu, Ag, Zn, Ni, etc.  

Items can be shipped using United States Mail, registered and insured or if you prefer, your overnight courier.  If you wish to have the samples returned to you via your overnight courier, you must authorize the JVC to use your overnight courier account number to return the samples.

Contact JVC for the Precious Metals and Gold Testing Information Form, which must accompany the samples to the testing facility and we will be happy to forward the form to you together with additional instructions.

Items valued in excess of $7500 will only be accepted for testing with advance notice.
