IRS Agent to Outline Plans for Government Examinations of Jewelry Anti-Money Laundering ProgramsNew York City - January 4, 2007 - JVC (Jewelers Vigilance Committee) is presenting “What the IRS Expects When Examining Your AML Program" the newest in its series of AML (anti-money laundering) seminars for the jewelry industry. IRS Agent F. Kim Buggs, the seminar’s keynote speaker, will outline plans for government examinations of jewelry AML programs, how such examinations will be conducted, what criteria the IRS will use to conduct examinations, and how to prepare for the IRS. Cecilia Gardner, JVC’s president, CEO and general counsel will moderate. Both Buggs and Gardner will answer questions. Attendance at the seminar will qualify as part of jewelers’ AML training program, also required under the AML rules.
