What The JVC Does:
Educate and Offer Guidance
Our members receive free education of the complex laws that apply to the manufacturing, advertising and sale of jewelry. We are available to answer questions about how to apply those laws to your every day business practices. The JVC provides up-to-the-minute information about changes in the national and local laws that apply to the jewelry business.
Low Cost Mediation
Problems? Complaints? We offer mediation and arbitration services to both consumers and members of the trade. When a dispute arises regarding representations made or compliance practices the JVC can help to mediate a mutually agreeable solution to the problem, affordably and in a timely manner.
The JVC constantly monitors the industry for compliance and seeks correction of the conduct when a pattern or practice of non-compliance is detected, we refer the matter to appropriate law enforcement officials. We can even bring legal action ourselves. Our main focus is education, and bringing about compliance through a greater understanding of the laws and how to apply them.

JVC offers its members several ways to communicate their membership to consumers. First, members are encouraged to utilize the JVC logo both in their traditional business, on their Internet sites and in advertising.
